Dancers preparing for An Riocht Jigs & Reels which takes place at the Kingdom Hall Kilkeel on Saturday 20th February from 8pm.

An Riocht GAC have become the latest Club to organise a Jigs & Reels competition to raise much needed funds for the development of new playing pitches at Dunavil.
This exciting evening is a dancing showdown when ten couples will battle it out to be crowned Jigs & Reels champions, twenty well known club personalities have teamed up to dance for your votes including Down Senior Footballers John Clarke and Brendan McVeigh, Down Senior Camogie player Naoimh Mulhern and many more. The judges will award each couple a mark and at the end of the dancing the audience will be able to vote for its favourite dance act. These votes will be added to the judges' scores and the couple with the most points wins.
Thanks to all the dancers who give up their time over the last couple of months to help with this fund raising event, a big thank you to the dance teachers Ciara and Rosemary for all their hard work, the comperes for the night Conrad and Bonnie, the judges Fr Tony, Ciara, Emma, Eileen and Johnny and all the back room helpers. Scor Sinsir semi finals will be held on
Friday 29th and Sunday 31st January, and
Sunday 7th of February 2010. The South
Down final will take place on Sunday 21st
February and the Down County Final will
be held on Sunday 28th February .The starting
times and venues will be set by the South
Down Scór committee according to
the entries from the clubs taking part.
Registration form must be completed and
returned by 23rd January 2010.
