James Cunningham (An Riocht Chairman), Eamon O'Rourke (Ireland Masters team), Michael O'Rourke (Chairman An Riocht Finance & Social committee), Christopher O'Rourke (Eamons son & An Riocht U14 footballer).

An Riochts Eamon O'Rourke was off to Australia on Friday as a member of the Ireland Masters GAA Football team. Eamon has long being a stalwart of the An Riocht Club. Way back in An Riochts first season in 1982, while still a minor, as a stand in keeper he saved a penalty in Longstone in the final Senior match to keep the League alive and indeed An Riocht went on to clinch the Title after a playoff victory over the 'Stone a few weeks later. Two years later he played half back in the Centenary Senior Championship Final. Later still he was the full back rock on which Barney Mc Aleenan built his side as An Riocht Seniors went whole seasons without a home defeat. Having won a PRFC medal in 2002, An Riochts only adult Championship success, Eamon went on to lend a hand with team management while still playing Reserve football and last Sunday lined out at full back for the Thirds in Ballykinlar! He has also contributed a lot of time to the new development at Dunavil and on Wednesday past in the new covered terrace there was a presentation to Eamon on behalf of An Riocht ahead of his departure to Australia with the Ireland GAA Masters team.
