An Riocht Annual General Meeting 22/11/2004
At the best attended AGM for quite some time there was a real willingness by members to accept responsibility for the running of the Club.
The election of officers returned the following
Felix Higgins Chairman,
Daniel Cunningham Treasurer,
Joseph Donnan Secretary,
Bernard Doyle and Sean O’Rourke Board Delegates.
They along with a still to be appointed PRO and a Cultural Officer make up the Management Committee.

Three sub committees were also set up. They are Finance & Social Chaired by Michael O’Rourke with Anne Mc Ardle Secretary, Games & Coaching with Dermot Flanagan Chairman and Vince Mc Alinden Secretary, and Grounds & Development with Thomas Clarke Chair and Pat Rodgers Secretary.

Each sub committee was given a schedule of work to oversee and all have arranged monthly meetings. If you missed the AGM but want to get involved in the Club then attend any or all of these meetings as appropriate or contact a Club official to make your availability known.

U10 Camogie – Longstone Tournament.
U12 Camogie – Martin Ireland Cup Winners; League Section Runners/up.

Following on from the successful Club Planning evenings the AGM will launch a new improved system for running the Club. It is imperative that anyone with an interest in the future of the Club attend.

Juvenile Awards 15/11/2004
The annual Juvenile (U14 down) Presentations are on Sunday 21 November at Dunavil.
Proceedings get under way at 2:30pm with the presentation of various ‘Player Awards’ and finish with a Disco/Karaoke from 3:30pm to 5pm. Parents and family members are encouraged to attend and show support for the youngsters.
Each player will receive a special pack exclusive to An Riocht.
Team Awards to be presented include:

*Good luck to Down and the five An Riocht players involved in the Ulster Minor Football final on Sunday 11th July in Croke Park (James, Martin, Gareth, Paul and Richard) and to the four An Riocht players (Suzanne, Joanna, Marie and Lisa) with Downs All Ireland Minor Camogie semi-final v. Kilkenny.

SPONSORED WALK 02/06/2004
There was a fairly good attendance for the annual sponsored walk on Bank Holiday Monday. Due to rearranged fixtures the Presentation Disco has been put back a week to Friday 9th June, so there is still time for stragglers to make their returns and bid for a Prize.

The new changing rooms were in use for the first time on Friday evening. The Gift-Aid programme is paying for this phase of the development and it is still not too late to sign up as it is an ongoing scheme. Ask any committee member for details.
