South Down U14 'B' Football Championship Final

The U14 had hard luck against Mayobridge in the championship final on Saturday 13th Sept at Rostrevor. In a game full of good play both An Riocht and Mayobridge goalies produced brilliant displays to keep their teams in it.

Wayne Bowater made at least four top class saves. The blocking in defence by Michael Spiers, david sloan and stephen mc veigh was another feature of the match. christopher killen and darren white ran themselves into the ground at mid field aptly illustrated by both scoring a goal. In attack only Diarmuid Flanagan played to his best form.

An Riocht came strong in the second half and led by 2:9 to 2:7 five minutes from the end of the game but the bridge rallied with four unanswered points to snatch victory.
