The
Seniors ambled to
another clear win, 1:20
to 0:7, at Dunavil v
Glenn.
The
holidays were already
taking effect and there
were six changes to the
team which had won in
Glenn. We started slowly
enough and Glenn led
early on. On the quarter
hour the teams were
level on three points
each when Kieran Mc
Veigh blazed a shot
across the face of the
goals and James Colgan
followed up with a pile
driver which flew over
off the bar. This
signalled an injection
of urgency into our play
and we added five
successive points for a
nine three interval
lead.
We
played some good
football in the second
half with sweeping
length of the field
moves finished with some
well taken scores,
though at times it all
became a little bit too
easy and over elaborate.
Conor Sloan was unlucky
to have a forty fifth
minute goal ruled out
but there was no denying
him five minutes later
when he took a Paul
Murney pass and rounded
the full back to burst
the net.
Glenn
forced one decent save
from Brendan Mc Veigh
and scored a couple of
really good points.
