The Seniors won with something to spare in Carryduff on Friday, 2:11 to 0:8.

Brendan Mc Veigh was commanding between the posts and Carryduff never looked like scoring a goal. Jim Clarke, Joe Mc Veigh and Deaglan O’Reilly were the pick of the defence while Paul Murney caught the eye with some high catches at midfield.

Up front John Clarke was our most consistent performer though Paddy Cole impressed in the final twenty minutes and substitute Neil Doran definitely added something when introduced. The teams were level three times in the first half with Carryduff unable to hold onto a lead and An Riocht looking capable of responding at will. At half time it was level, five points apiece.

Three minutes into the second half Kieran Mc Veigh got in but his shot was parried and the ball fell to Richard Annett who goaled. At the three quarter stage we led 1:6 to 0:8 and went on to score 1:5 without reply for the somewhat inevitable win.
