An
Riocht lost our opening
league fixture in Rostrevor
twelve points to eleven.
A poor first half left too
much to do in the second
though a valiant effort
just fell short.
Reds dominated the opening
quarter and went three nil
ahead through quick delivery
to a nippy forward division
and a stranglehold at mid
field.
An Riocht settled to draw
level, a memorable point
by our top player Adrian
Annett making it four all,
before Rostrevor took a
two point advantage into
the break.
They
doubled that to four on
the restart before we finally
saw some great play by our
team and soon we were tied
at eight points apiece.
Then it was ten all. A good
save by Brendan Mc Veigh
resulted in a forty five
which Conor Daly converted
and he made it twelve ten
from play moments later.
Kevin Flanagan with the
score of the game left the
minimum in it and a late
chance to equalize was blocked
out as Reds held out for
a just about deserved victory.
