This was possibly the best senior match at Dunavil this year and a draw was probably a fair result.

An Riocht began well and tore through the visitors defence capping some great play with a Ciaran Walsh goal. At the other end Brendan mc Veigh saved from Conor Lavery, Kilcoo’s most dangerous attacker. They were threatening a major score and it finally arrived on twenty five minutes and by the break Kilcoo were 1:7 to 1:4 ahead.

An Riocht moved the ball quickly on the restart and drew level at eleven apiece by the forty fifth minute, Liam mc Veigh instigating the score of the match.

At one end Kilcoo crashed a shot off the bar while Martin Clarke’s goal bound effort was cleared off the line with the keeper beaten. We were a point up when mc Veigh made a miraculous save while Clarke put Michael Harper in on goal at the other end.
John Clarke gave us a late lead but Kilcoo hit back to share the spoils.
