The Senior footballers lost in Castlewellan by 3:15 to 3:8 on Sunday night. Once again Castlewellan started fast and scored some fine long range points added to by a goal fiercely shot from close range.

An Riocht responded well with Damian Cunningham sending a scorcher past Mickey McVeigh and later in the half Brian Sloan netted a second after good play from Adrian Annett. at the break An Riocht trailed 1:11 to 2:2.

An Riocht lost another goal on the restart and also a man and in the fortieth minute Castlewellan overlapping to good effect grabbed their third goal.

Throwing caution to the wind An Riocht introduced some much needed adventure to their play and finished on a high with some good points and a third goal from Brian Sloan coming in on the end of a five man move which tore the home defence apart.

There were good displays from Stephen Flanagan, Adrian Annett, Deaglainn O' Reilly, Brian Sloan, Gary Cunningham, Kieran Mc Veigh and both subs Richard Annett and James Colgan.
