needed to secure their first
division status on Saturday
when they defeated Castlewellan
at home by 5 points. They
made hard work of it and certainly
left their best form prior
to the championship.

Sevens on Saturday past. En
route they played Wicklow's
Blessington, Scotstown of
Monaghan, Sligo St. Marys,
Thomas Davis Dublin, before
losing to Derry's Bellaghy.

An Ríocht and Longstone played
a draw in the League on Thursday
night past. After a close
opening quarter An Ríocht
seized the initiative with
a Kevin Flanagan goal and
three successive points in
the third quarter put An Ríocht
in a commanding position.
Then Longstone rallied and
drew level in added time.
However there was still time
for An Ríocht to edge
ahead but again Longstone
equalised and with An Ríocht
attacking, the referee brought
proceedings to an end.
A draw was probably a fair
result but it was certainly
a game An Ríocht let
slip.

seconds were to take on Mayobridge.
Mayobridge seconds failed

the game 3-10 to 0-16.

O'Rourke could be out of football
for the rest of the session
after games last Friday night.
Gary Gordon is recovering
from a hernia operation while
An Ríocht's Michael
O'Rourke was unfortunate in
their game against Bryansford
when he suffered a fractured
foot minutes after going into
the game as a 'blood' substitute.
