Kilcoo proved much too strong for An Riocht in the championship match played last Monday. There was more disappointment on Wednesday when visiting Warrenpoint edged a closely contested match by 3:6 to 3:3. An Riocht Girls involved in Down's Camogie Ulster Success 08/06/2004
Congratulations to the Down minor camogie team on winning the provincial championship and especially the four An Riocht camogs involved Joanna, Suzanne, Lisa and Marie, and best wishes for the All Ireland semi-final.

Junior Camogie 08/06/2004
The junior camogs won in Aghaderg thanks to scores from Michelle Fitzpatrick 1:2, Nicola Doran 1:0, Emma Jayne Magee 0:2 and Lisa Hughes 0:1. Best for An Riocht in a good team effort were Ciara Cunningham, Michelle Cousins, Lisa Hughes, Emma Jayne Magee, Michelle Fitzpatrick and Colleen Mulligan.

JUNIOR CAMOGIE 02/06/2004
An Riocht 2:5 Aghaderg 1:3
A very good team effort saw An Riocht return to winning ways at Aghaderg on Monday evening (31 May). Scorers were Michelle Fitzpatrick 1:2, Nicola Doran 1:0, Emma Jayne Magee 0:2, Lisa Hughes 0:1. Others to impress were Ciara Cunningham, Michelle Cousins and Coleen Mulligan.

Portaferry could not travel last week so there was no game. In Saint Johns An Riocht lost to a last minute goal despite earlier scores from Shiela White 1:2, Michelle Cousins 1:1, Orla Flanagan 0:1, Michelle Fitzpatrick 0:1.

An Riocht played Newry in the first game at Dunavil this season and won 2:4 to 1:1.

Best wishes to Veronica Baldwin who sustained a nasty hand injury. Ciara Cunningham, Orla Flanagan and Lisa Hughes were best for An Riocht. The game was played twelve a side. There were four An Riocht players on the Down minor panel for the Ulster championship game against Derry which the down girls won 4:11 to 3:5. Joanna Sloan (goals), Suzanne Campbell (defence), Lisa Hughes (attack), and Marie Trainor were our representatives. Lisa scored a point.

An Riocht lost 1:1 to 0:1 in Ballela, Michelle Cousins the scorer. The defence was outstanding limiting the home team to two strikes but at the other end of the field An Riocht just could not get the ball between the posts despite dominating possession.

The juniors opened their campaign with a big win in Dromara 6:17 to nil. Michelle Cousins and Sheila White were in top form for an Riocht.

Drumaness have withdrawn so Ballela are our next opponents.

The under 14 game in Clonduff was rained off and Ballyholland under 12 had a feis so both these teams had no games.

Camogie / Hurling team managements Meeting 07/01/2003
Also on Tuesday 13 January at 8:30pm (following the football meeting) there is a meeting to select the various Camogie / Hurling team managements, arrange practices, decide competition entries etc.
If you are willing to help or know someone who will encourage them to attend. Without more help we cannot realistically expect to field all our teams. The meeting will close at 10pm.
ALL minor and junior Camogie players should attend to be registered to play in 2004.
