Directions:
From Belfast (Total Distance 44 miles
- Time 1hr 10 min)
Take A24 South to Carryduff (at Carryduff
keep right to remain on A24)
Follow A24 through Temple and Ballynahinch
to Newcastle, then take A2 to KilKeel (You
will drive through Annalong and Ballymartin).
Go straight through Kilkeel (follow signs
for Cranfield or Greencastle)
Take second turn to Right which is approximately
1 mile outside Kilkeel (If you pass a Vivo
Shop on Left hand side you have gone a few
yards to far)
An Riocht Playing Fileds is a few hundred
yards down this road on Left hand side.
From Belfast Via Newry (Total Distance
55 miles - Time 1hr 10 min)
Take A12 Get on Motorway (M1), Head for
Dublin
Leave Motorway at Junction 7 (A1) (Signposted
Newry) and at roundabout take 2nd exit A1
At Hillborough Roundabout take 2nd exit
to Newry
As you come into Newry you will met a Roundabout
(Damolly Roundabout) take 2nd exit A2 (signposted
Newry City Centre). Their is a Hotel on
Right hand side.
Follow signs for Warrenpoint A2 (Harbour).
Go through Warrenpoint town. At end of
road turn left for Rostrevor.
Turn right at Rostrevor. You will pass
through Killowen.
About 5 mile out this road you will see
a sign post for Cranfield and Greencastle
(Carvan sites etc). Take this Right hand
turn.
Along this road take the second left hand
turn - you will cross a small bridge and
then come to a junction - go straight through
junction and An Riocht Playing Fields in
approx .05 miles on Right hand side.
From Newry (Total Distance 18 miles
- Time 0hr 30 min)
Follow signs for Warrenpoint A2 (Harbour).
Go through Warrenpoint town. At end of
road turn left for Rostrevor.
Turn right at Rostrevor. You will pass
through Killowen.
About 5 mile out this road you will see
a sign post for Cranfield and Greencastle
(Carvan sites etc). Take this Right hand
turn.
Along this road take the second left hand
turn - you will cross a small bridge and
then come to a junction - go straight through
junction and An Riocht Playing Fields in
approx .05 miles on Right hand side.
From Hilltown (and Atticall) (Total
Distance 14 miles - Time 0hr 30 min)
Follow signs for Newcastle B8 at the Junction
with B27 turn right
Follow sign posts for Silent Vally at Junction
with B180 bear right
You will pass by Spelga Dam on the right
hand side
At next junction bear right (should be
sign posted for Kilkeel)
Keep along this road and you should start
to go down the mountain - with a view of
Cranfield Lighthouse in front of you.
You will cross a small bridge, and then
pass an equestion centre on left hand side,
take the next right hand turn into Attical.
Go through Attical and go down the mountain
again - you will then met the main Newry
to Kilkeel Road.
Turn left and then take the next right
at the end of this road take a left
You will cross a small bridge and then
come to a junction - go straight through
junction and An Riocht Playing Fields in
approx .05 miles on Right hand side.
Take A2 from NEWRY to WARRENPOINT
Go straight through the town of Warrenpoint
- You will come to an end junction.
Turn Left and Keep on the A2 Road from
Warrenpoint to Rostrevor
As you come into Rostrevor take the Right
hand turn to Kilkeel |
